Nintendo Direct Mini Announcements

Nintendo held a mini Direct today, announcing a selection of new titles for the Switch. While none of the announcements was regarding all new first-party games, a disappointment considering Nintendo has no major first-party title planned for release for the rest of the year, Nintendo did reveal new information regarding some of their major titles.

The first announcement was a new character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. We don’t know which character yet, but it will be somebody from the fighting game Arms. It was also revealed that the HD remaster of Xenoblade Chronicles will include a new epilogue and will be released on May 29th. We also got details on the Pokémon Sword and Shield DLC, updated content for Ring Fit Adventure and some news regarding Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

As for third-party news, 2K Games announced that the BioShock trilogy, The X-COM 2 Collection and Borderlands Legacy Collection will be coming to the system. EA announced that a remaster for Burnout: Paradise will come at some undisclosed time in the future and in the most unexpected twist Panzer Dragoon HD and a port of Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy are both available for purchase on the eShop right now. Who needs pre-release hype?
